Riley got dropped off at home after a long afternoon of shopping. She wanted to drop off some of the extra things she’d bought at her house. It wouldn’t be right for her to fill up Rowdy’s closet without his permission, but she wondered if he would mind.

She’d bought a cute dress and accessories for the party and was excited to be heading out for a night on the town. Rowdy told her to be ready by nine, and he would pick her up from the apartment. He took Infinity out for the day, and they were going to go out to lunch and maybe go to the park and play.

Riley couldn’t get over the fact that Cretia didn’t like her. Cretia didn’t know Riley well enough to have an opinion of her, but that never stopped a person from not liking someone. Rowdy told her that Cretia was jealous simply because he didn’t want her anymore, but Riley still didn’t understand why she hated her. It was Rowdy who’d made the decision to leave on his own and to move on with his life instead of being trapped in a messed up situation.

Riley was sitting on her couch, watching television, waiting for her beautician to arrive when her phone rang. She picked it up and noticed it was her mother. Riley didn’t want to talk with her, but she knew that Diana would keep calling if she didn’t answer.

“Since you didn’t come to tell me bye when you left, I thought you were feeling some type of way about me,” Diana explained.

“I must admit; I was a little disappointed in you. You knew I was bringing Rowdy over for dinner, so I don’t know why you invited Will,” Riley complained. “Things are over between me and Will, so you will have to accept it.”

“But I don’t understand why, dear. Will is a good man, and he really cares about you,” Diana insisted. “He has a bright future ahead of him, and he doesn’t have children.”

“And what’s that supposed to mean?” Riley questioned.

“It means that his attention doesn’t have to be split between you and someone else. You can’t tell me that Rowdy is able to tend to your needs and his daughter's needs at the same time,” Diana fussed. “What if you’re feeling frisky, and you can’t do anything because Infinity is sitting there.”

Riley laughed at the nonsense her mother was speaking. “She has a bedtime, Mama,” Riley giggled. “So we wait until she’s put to bed, and then, we do our grown-up thing. I think you need to stop being ridiculous and get on board. Daddy likes Rowdy, and that’s what’s most important.”

“So my opinion isn’t important!” Diana retorted. “I’m your mother! The woman who brought you into
